Rhonda, I think this is an issue most of us face when we first start working from home. As you read through the Virtual Vocation forums you will find this same discussion many times over with excellent resources from some of the busiest people I know. Even in response to your post here Jeff has pointed you to some excellent technological tools that are sure to help by keeping your calendar right at your fingertips while you're working.
I, on the other hand, have learned that technology is not always dependable (or available) so I rely on my trusty ole planner. Using this 'old fashioned' method I am able to pencil in assignments, complete with company name, on the actual due date, at the time that I accept the assignment. This gives me a monthly (or yearly) overview of all projects I've got going with just a glance. This enables me to evaluate my schedule (both work and personal) to see what else I can or cannot work in and keeps me from overloading myself (which I tend to do often). A planner is small and easily carried in a purse or pocket and is available whenever and where ever you might be.
