At Home Temporary MySQL Quick Fix

I have a shopping cart website and I moved server from a Godaddy dedicated server to a shared hosting server and I'm getting following message:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/content/b/r/a/bradkoerner/html/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19
Unable to connect to database server!
I called Godaddy and they told me it's probably a quick fix something to do with user/pass.
