Job Summary

A company is looking for an Authorization Specialist II to support the prior authorization request process and ensure timely documentation for healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

• Aids the utilization management team by tracking and documenting authorizations and referrals
• Researches and documents necessary medical information for the authorization review process
• Verifies member insurance coverage and performs data entry to maintain authorization requests in the system

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• 1 - 2 years of related experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance preferred
