Job Summary

A company is looking for an AVP, Associate General Counsel - Alternative Ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead legal support for complex business arising from Alternative Ventures planning unit
Serve as primary legal representative in deals and interactions with other parties
Provide tactical support on use of captive structures, fronting arrangements, and risk retention groups

Required Qualifications:

Juris Doctorate (JD) from an American Bar Association-accredited law school
Fifteen years of deep insurance underwriting, rate-making, and regulatory experience
Experience in insurance, reinsurance, investments, mergers & acquisitions, and structured finance
Extensive knowledge of commercial property/casualty insurance and specialty insurance products
Ability to identify and assess legal risks in complex business situations and develop creative solutions
