Behavioral Health Medical Director - TX Licensed
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Behavioral Health Medical Director responsible for leadership in behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead utilization management and case management programs for mental health and substance use disorder services
- Collaborate with state agencies and community partners to oversee and improve the quality of behavioral health programs
- Serve as the subject matter expert on behavioral health, ensuring compliance with state regulations and promoting integrated care models
Required Qualifications
- Must reside in Texas
- Board-certified psychiatrist licensed in the State of Texas
- At least five years of combined experience in mental health and substance use services, including leadership experience
- Experience with Texas Medicaid behavioral health benefits and services
- Knowledge of perinatal and pediatric behavioral health conditions
