Certified Coding Advisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Advisor who will review patient charts for accuracy and completeness.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient charts coded by Coding Associates for accuracy and completeness
• Communicate deficiencies in coding to team members and leadership, recommending remedial training as necessary
• Perform audits and reviews of account escalations and special projects to ensure coding accuracy

Required Qualifications

• CPC, CPMA, RHIA, RHIT, CCS-P, and/or CCS certification
• Minimum 1 year of physician coding and auditing experience, with multi-specialty experience preferred
• Surgical coding experience preferred
• Experience in Smartsheet
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
