Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder - PRN.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify and ensure the accuracy and completeness of diagnosis codes based on services rendered
• Review medical record information to identify appropriate coding based on CMS HCC categories
• Enter ICD10-CM codes into computer applications and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency
• Certified Medical Coder (CPC, CCA, CCS) with 2 years of experience
• Proficiency in ICD10-CM coding guidelines and medical terminology
• Knowledge of HCC auditing concepts and regulatory compliance issues
• Certification through AAPC or AHIMA
