Job Summary

A company is looking for a Claims and Benefits Specialist to support the processing and management of disability claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage a low-volume portfolio of short-term disability claims
  • Review and evaluate claim files to verify documentation and determine benefit eligibility
  • Analyze claimant medical information and policy terms to make timely benefit decisions
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant education or training is a plus
  • 2-4 years of experience in claims processing or insurance administration
  • Ability to interpret policy provisions and apply them to individual claims
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as ERISA and Fair Claim Settlement Practices is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and claims processing systems
