Job Summary
A company is looking for a Clinical Variant Scientist to assist in evaluating genetic test results.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate germline next generation test results for patients
- Classify variants by evaluating functional, computational, clinical, and other data
- Summarize data for patient reports
Required Qualifications
- MS, PhD or equivalent in genetics, genetic counseling, molecular biology or related field
- Experience in germline variant interpretation is required
- Working knowledge of ACMG Variant Classification Guidelines
- Strong background in molecular genetics, human genetics, or related medical specialties
- Experience with variant evaluation in nephrology and inborn errors of immunity (IEI) disease states is preferred
