Credit Counselor
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Credit Counselor I to assist members with financial needs and provide empathetic service.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact delinquent account holders to cure defaults and maintain accurate documentation of collection efforts
- Analyze financial situations of delinquent borrowers and recommend solutions for resolving delinquencies
- Promote member education on credit union products and services to enhance member experience
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- One to three years of related experience
- High school education or GED
- Knowledge of loan, deposit, and collections platforms
- Understanding of Chapter 7 and 13 Bankruptcies and basic bankruptcy claims processing
- Familiarity with skip tracing tools and credit bureau reporting
