Cyber Defense Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cyber Defense Analyst II to join their team in a hybrid full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and incidents, escalating as necessary and coordinating incident response functions
• Analyze and report on cyber defense incidents, including real-time handling and documentation from detection to resolution
• Characterize network traffic and perform log analysis to identify potential threats and provide trend analysis reports

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Associate's degree with 2 years relevant experience or HS Diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience)
• 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security, or 5 years in system or network administration
• Experience with incident response, threat modeling, or vulnerability management is preferred
• Ability to analyze and correlate threat assessment data
• Familiarity with cyber defense tools and techniques
