Financial Clearance Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Specialist who is organized and has medical billing experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Completes accurate and timely insurance verification and data entry in EMR software
• Ensures services have approved authorization prior to service and completes authorization requests
• Communicates with front office staff to maintain a clean billing process and escalates financial clearance risks as needed

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two or more years of patient account management experience in a hospital or physician practice setting is preferred
• Basic accounting skills are required
