Job Summary
A company is looking for a Patient Privacy & Security Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and audit compliance with regulations regarding Patient Health Information
- Create policies and provide educational resources related to patient privacy and information security
- Implement technological reviews and safeguards to ensure HIPAA compliance
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) or Certified in Healthcare Privacy & Security (CHPS), or obtain certification within one year of employment
- Minimum of five years of HIPAA Privacy and Security healthcare experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Previous experience in an information technology, audit, policy, or business-related position
- Preferred: Master's Degree in a related field
