Loss Mitigation Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Loss Mitigation Underwriter responsible for submitting loan modification workups for various investor workout options.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand investor's waterfall and required documents for loss mitigation
• Communicate with customers, agents, and attorneys to negotiate short sale offers and advise on decisions
• Assess property values, review financial documents, and determine suitable repayment options

Required Qualifications and Education

• A combined 3 years of higher education and/or experience, including 1 year in collections or underwriting
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Paralegal certification or experience preferred
• Mortgage collections experience preferred
