Managing Director of Technology

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Managing Director of Technology to lead a team of technologists in support of organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Set strategic plans for the tech team in partnership with the product team
• Manage large, cross-domain technical projects and coordinate with external collaborators
• Oversee hiring, training, and performance management of team members

Required Qualifications

• Significant experience as a software engineer, preferably in a political setting
• Fluency in at least one programming language and significant experience in at least two
• Prior management experience leading software engineering teams
• Experience in debugging major production issues and scaling applications
• Ability to develop strategic plans and manage technical projects with diverse stakeholders
