Registered Nurse Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Nurse Auditor to perform clinical audit and validation processes for medical record documentation and diagnosis coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical audits to ensure accuracy and compliance of medical record documentation and coding
• Interpret medical documentation to validate billed diagnoses and ensure relevant coding is captured
• Make independent decisions regarding work methods and follow established guidelines and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of Associate's Degree
• Active Registered Nurse license (RN)
• At least 2 years of acute inpatient hospital care experience or DRG inpatient auditing
• In-depth knowledge of complex medical diagnoses
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications
