Senior IT Security Engineer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior IT Security Engineer to support corporate security initiatives through threat detection and security design.
Key Responsibilities
- Support IT teams with best practices in system design, hardening, and data protection
- Create security threat detection content based on collaboration with security staff
- Provide leadership and mentoring for other security team members
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, or equivalent
- 7+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in a cybersecurity engineering role
- Proven experience with AWS or Azure cloud services
- Experience with scripting in Python and PowerShell, and knowledge of REST API and JSON
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSA, SANS GIAC, or CEH are preferred
