Senior Life Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Life Underwriter who will analyze, evaluate, and classify risk for life insurance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and decide on life applications with face amounts up to $1,000,000
• Request and assure appropriate information for underwriting requirements, including medical reports and investigations
• Prepare presentations for underwriters or sales agents to assist with training and development

Required Qualifications

• 2-year college degree in Finance, Business, or Economics
• 1-2 years of experience in the life insurance industry
• Knowledge of life and annuity sales is strongly preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends if required
