Senior Policy Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Policy and Planning Specialist (Bureau of Land Management).

Key Responsibilities

• Advocate for policies to protect and restore wildlife habitat and hold federal agencies accountable
• Engage in federal land management planning processes and develop strategies to sustain biodiversity
• Coordinate with various departments to develop positions on legislative proposals affecting federal lands

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's (B.A./B.S.) degree or equivalent; JDs encouraged to apply
• 8 years of relevant experience; 3 years supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of laws, legal codes, and government regulations related to land management
• Experience in public planning and natural resource management
• Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate across organizational boundaries
