Job Summary
A company is looking for a Unix Engineer 100% Remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Write scripts using Bash, Python, and Perl for managing Active Directory roles and file permissions on over 1900 servers
- Ensure system permissions are maintained while manipulating user tables and roles
- Perform initial cleanup and safely remove agents while maintaining server functionality, including backup and recovery tasks
Required Qualifications
- Extensive engineering experience on multiple Unix platforms (RedHat, Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, AIX, etc.)
- Extensive scripting experience with Perl, Python, and Bash
- Extensive experience with profiles, permissions, files, security, and backup and recovery
