Job Summary
A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct concurrent analysis of medical records to improve documentation quality and accuracy
- Identify opportunities for documentation improvement and collaborate with healthcare providers
- Ensure timely follow-up on clinical documentation clarifications and maintain accurate data input
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing or health information management required
- 2 years of related clinical experience or 5 years of acute care hospital inpatient coding required
- RN or relevant certification (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, etc.) upon hire required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and disease processes
- Ability to analyze complex clinical information effectively
