Job Summary
A company is looking for a Software Engineer/ Level 2.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and DBA support for mainframe IMS application databases across various environments
- Conduct performance monitoring, tuning, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting for IMS databases
- Coordinate mainframe operations and software upgrades, ensuring compliance with vendor standards and disaster recovery plans
Required Qualifications
- Experience administering mainframe application IMS databases
- Proficiency with DBRC/RECONS and performing DBRC forward recoveries
- Knowledge of IBM IMS utilities and familiarity with vendor utilities
- Ability to create, modify, and maintain IMS database descriptions
- Experience in providing technical support for mainframe production control and job scheduling
