Job Summary
A company is looking for a Weekend Editor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and optimize content at a fast pace, focusing on weekend audiences
- Pitch data-backed title ideas daily and manage editorial workflows
- Collaborate with freelance writers, leverage new technologies, and contribute to traffic and revenue goals
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Journalism, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of online publication editorial experience
- Full command of line editing, fact-checking, and copy editing (to AP Style)
- Experience using analytics tools to make editorial decisions
- Availability for a weekend-focused schedule of Thursday-Monday
