Writing Center Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Writing Center Specialist responsible for providing writing coaching and support to students.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides writing coaching and guidance to students on their essays and papers
• Facilitates the transition of new students into their courses and offers proactive advisement for continuing students
• Creates and conducts tutorials on writing and APA formatting while promoting a positive workplace culture

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Writing, English, or related fields; Master's degree preferred
• One to three years of teaching experience in an educational setting preferred
• Knowledge of English language structure, academic processes, and basic computer operations
• Ability to manage time effectively and utilize critical thinking skills
• Experience with office equipment and software, including Microsoft Office and online educational platforms
